As an IoT Solutions Engineer you will be responsible for implementing projects to optimize large heating systems. You will work closely with our development team and Energy Engineer and successfully implement projects.

Tasks

• Planning and Implementation of IoT Devices: Collaborate with our Energy Engineer to efficiently plan and execute the deployment of IoT devices ensuring integration with existing systems and adherence to industrial IoT standards.
• Development and Integration of IoT Devices: Program and integrate IoT devices using languages like Python C/C and JavaScript to enable realtime data collection and control. Participate in onsite visits to monitor installations and ensure proper device functionality.
• Security and Communication Protocols: Implement secure communication protocols including MQTT Modbus and BACnet to ensure reliable and secure data transfer between IoT devices and the backend following IoT security best practices.
• Collaboration with Project Management: Work closely with the development team and Energy Engineer throughout all project phases from concept to successful implementation ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of IoT systems.

Requirements

• Experience with IoT Systems: Indepth knowledge of wireless IoT technologies and systems including IoT platforms scalable systems and industrial IoT standards.
• IoT Communication Protocols: Expertise in protocols like MQTT Modbus and BACnet along with IoT security best practices such as device authentication and encryption.
• Linux & SSH Navigation: Proficiency in navigating Linux environments establishing secure SSH connections and analyzing system logs and performance metrics.
• Hardware & Integration Skills: Practical skills in drilling wiring basic electronics and integrating IoT devices with existing systems and platforms.
• Edge Computing & Cloud Integration: Experience with edge computing cloudbased IoT platforms IoT cloud integrations data pipelining and deploying applications on AWS.
• Programming: Proficiency in languages commonly used in IoT environments such as Python C/C JavaScript and TypeScript; knowledge of backend and frontend development is a plus.
• Data Handling: Familiarity with data acquisition processing and storage from IoT devices.
• Building Energy Systems: Expertise in building energy systems particularly heating systems for effective energy management.
• Solutions Engineering & ProblemSolving: Deep expertise in designing and implementing IoT solutions with strong problemsolving skills.
• Team Spirit & Collaboration: Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative startup environment with strong team spirit.
• Communication Skills: Proficiency in German is a plus aiding clear communication with stakeholders and team members.
