Job Summary:
As an Overnight NOC (Network Operations Center) Technician you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability integrity and efficient operation of our companys network infrastructure during nonbusiness hours. You will monitor network performance troubleshoot issues and coordinate with various teams to maintain optimal network functionality.
Job Responsibilities:
- 24/7 Network Monitoring: Monitor network performance and availability using network management tools and respond to alerts and notifications in a timely manner.
- Incident Management: Identify investigate and troubleshoot network issues escalating to appropriate teams when necessary. Act as the first point of contact for networkrelated incidents during overnight shifts.
- Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve network faults including hardware software and connectivity issues utilizing troubleshooting procedures and technical expertise.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and documentation of network events incidents and resolutions. Update knowledge base articles and procedural documentation as needed.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate maintenance activities implement changes and resolve issues during overnight hours.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations such as network outages security breaches or system failures implementing mitigation strategies and communicating updates to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement automation and optimization of network monitoring and management procedures to enhance overall efficiency and reliability.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies procedures and security standards including compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
The staggered shifts are as follows (PH Time includes 1 hour break):
Shift: 1PM 10PM
During an initial training period (est. 2 weeks) employee is to work the same office hours as us. Their hours are below in PH time:
9PM 6AM
All times above are to subject to a 1 hour adjustment after November 3rd to account for the end of Daylight saving time:
Shift 1: 2PM 11PM
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Background in working in the MSP environment is huge advantage
- US or any Western region experience is a plus but not required
- Proven experience in network operations network administration or a similar role with a strong understanding of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP DNS DHCP SNMP etc.).
- Previous experience working as a NOC Technician or in a similar IT support role preferably in an overnight shift capacity.
- Proficiency in using ConnectWise Automate as remote monitoring system and/or ConnectWise Manage ticketing system is a huge advantage
- Strong understanding of networking concepts protocols and technologies.
- Experience with Windows server environment.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Microsoft Azure Certification is a huge advantage but not required.

Requirements/Skills Needed: Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. At least 5+ years of experience in IT support, with at least 3+ years in a Level 2 or Level 3 roel within the Australian IT Services sector. Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and leadership skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
