Currently we are partnered with a preferred client in Rochester NY in search of a talented Senior Property Tax Analyst.

Job Summary

As the Senior Property Tax Analyst you will be primarily responsible for timely and accurate preparation and filing of property tax returns business licensing and other compliance duties for retail locations within the United States. This position is hybrid with 34 days per week onsite in Rochester NY.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• File personal property tax returns on a timely basis
• Manage property tax obligations including coordinating tracking and processing payments
• Review monitor and respond to all taxing jurisdictions inquiries regarding property taxes and support audits
• Continue to integrate property tax software inhouse
• Assist with forecasting property tax liabilities
• Review all assessments for accuracy and identify opportunities for cost savings including appeals
• Work on special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or business
• Minimum 3 years experience in property tax or similar role

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Organized with excellent time management skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple deadlines
• Takes initiative and executes independently in assigned work areas
• Clear and concise communication skills both oral and written
• Understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
• Analytical with an ability to research interpret and apply technical guidance to business situations
