Emergency Dispatch Center Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Dispatch Center Supervisor to oversee the operations of our Medical Emergency Dispatch and Communications Center. This onsite role is critical in ensuring efficient and effective responses to emergency calls while leading a team of dispatchers in highpressure situations. Expectations:

Lead and mentor a team of emergency dispatchers providing guidance support and training to ensure optimal performance during highpressure situations.
Oversee the daytoday operations of the dispatch center ensuring efficient allocation of resources adherence to protocols and timely responses to emergencies.
Manage staffing schedules equipment maintenance and inventory to ensure seamless operations and readiness to respond to emergencies at all times.
Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy efficiency and compliance with established procedures and regulations.
Foster strong relationships with government employees emergency response agencies law enforcement fire departments and medical personnel to facilitate effective communication and coordination during emergencies.
Ensure accurate maintenance of daily timekeeping entered by employees.
Participate in the recruitment hiring and onboarding of new call center staff as needed.
Create reports and liaise with various stakeholders to brief on the status of the contract and any risks that may arise.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements:

3 years of strong leadership experience.
6 years of professional experience working with military and defense customers.
1 year of responsible work experience as an emergency or nonemergency dispatcher/call center operator public safety officer security military or healthcare services or relevant work experience using tworadio communication.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Proficiency in standard computer operations including proficient typing skills.
Knowledge of logs reports and filing procedures necessary for operator logging and documentation.
Familiarity with coordinating the work of the E911 center with installationwide emergency services and related offices.
Basic knowledge of emergency medical techniques and procedures sufficient to relay appropriate information to callers and emergency response teams.
Ability to quickly analyze information given over the telephone in emergency situations.
Strong oral communication skills to interact effectively with a variety of individuals in emergency situations.

Physical Requirements:

Normal office environment mobility including sitting walking bending stooping standing and lifting a maximum of 25 pounds (greater than 25 pounds requires a twoperson lift).
Normal office dexterity including reaching handling grasping typing/keyboard and phone use.
