Job Description
Our Client a leading financial technology company is seeking a Strategic Advisors Technology Chapter Leader to join their team in Galway. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our engineering solutions and practices and have the opportunity to coach mentor and develop a team of talented individuals dedicated to delivering value and excellence.
Your Role
In an agile structure you will collaborate with other leaders to establish the standards for your chapter influence the strategic decisions and build solutions with your expertise. You will directly manage a team of chapter members who primarily work within autonomous squads across a product area but report directly to you. You are dedicated to helping them grow and develop in their knowledge area and ensure alignment on the “how” of the work they perform. You are committed to developing your own expertise and knowledge to bring the latest thinking to your role to empower others with that knowledge.

Your Role

The Expertise You Have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering Computer Science etc.) required.
- This role requires 15 years’ of proven technology leadership experience in designing and building highly scalable software solutions.
- Expertise in Engineering methodologies in at least one tier of the stack and strong awareness and appreciation in the other tiers.
- Experience leading coaching mentoring and developing people and teams
- Experience identifying and acquiring talent needs; and resource planning and talent allocation across large organizations
- Financial services experience preferred but not required

- Ensuring chapter talent composition aligns with strategic business priorities including workforce planning vital to provide increased value and results for customers and the business
- Proactively partnering with Chapter Area Product Area Owner Center of Excellence and Product Owners to:
- influence strategic backlog and prioritization decisions related to your area of expertise
- measure performance through established objectives and KPI’s to deliver agreed upon business technology and people results
- align chapter members across squads and tribes to ensure the best utilization of talent while also building learning opportunities and learning day content to develop skills
- set and apply standards and ensure the work performed is aligned with established road maps
- remove impediments to delivering value
- Actively sharing insights knowledge industry practices and developments across the organization
- Collaborate with tribe leadership team to reduce technical debt and modernize applications
- Continuously focus on improving stability and resiliency of applications and batch processes
