Job Description

RecruitNet International Ltd specializes in relocating qualified professionals throughout Ireland and overseas we guide you through professional registration job placement visa and employment permit processing.

We are hiring a Staff Nurse Oncology Day Unit into a Private Hospital in Dublin Ireland.

We will provide exceptional patient care in an environment where quality respect caring and compassion are at the center of all we do.
Key Responsibilities
  • To be aware of the practices and policies set out by the Hospital and the Department of Health on the safe administration of cytotoxic preparations.
  • To work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receiving chemotherapy have continued access to specialist care expertise and knowledge.
  • The administration of prescribed cytotoxic chemotherapy to oncology patients via PICC cannula Hickman or Portacath.
  • To administer chemotherapy according to the protocols as set out by the hospital Cancer Centre.
  • To provide information about treatment and side effects giving written information as appropriate.
  • To facilitate effective communication between the patient multidisciplinary team and their family.
  • Assess staff competencies and make patient care assignments.
  • Delegate appropriate tasks to appropriate personnel consistent with professional and legal guidelines and departmental standards.
  • Maintains clear communications with the Nurse Manager regarding unit needs and incidents.
  • Serve as a resource person on the unit.
  • Assist with all needed patient care.
  • Adhere to internal controls established for the department.






Requirements

  • NMBI Registered General Nurse license in good standing.
  • Oncology Related postgraduation qualification desirable
  • Two years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Oncology experience preferred.
  • Candidates must possess teaching abilities professional judgment leadership qualities critical thinking and problemsolving abilities and a sense of professional development.
  • Must demonstrate multitasking ability.
  • Utilises effective time management skills.
