Concrete Foreman

Company Overview: Our client is a leading player in the Roadway and concrete construction industry in Central Florida and is seeking a Concrete foreman.

Position Summary: The Successful candidate should have 6 years of experience finishing concrete and working as foreman. Should have experience finishing curbs ADA ramps and mixing concrete.

Position Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily activities on the job site ensuring all concrete work is completed according to project specifications and within set deadlines.

Lead and motivate a crew of concrete workers assigning tasks providing guidance and ensuring high productivity and safety standards.

Accurately measure and calculate quantities of concrete needed for projects ensuring proper mix and placement.

Ensure that all concrete work complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements for accessibility and safety.

Apply extensive experience with FDOT (Florida Department of Transportation) standards for curb and sidewalk construction ensuring all work meets state regulations.

Develop and manage project schedules coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion of all phases of work.

Enforce safety regulations and maintain a clean organized work site ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols.

Operate company vehicles as needed maintaining a clean driving record and ensuring the safe transport of materials and personnel.

Required Skills:

Proven ability to lead and manage a team of concrete workers fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Must have experience with hand forming concrete and supervising or instructing the tasks.

The ideal candidate should have experience working on roadway and highway projects.

Extensive knowledge of concrete measurement calculation and application techniques.

Strong understanding of ADA guidelines and requirements ensuring all work is compliant with accessibility standards.

Significant experience with FDOT regulations and standards particularly related to curb ADA ramps and sidewalk construction.

Having a concrete finishing crew is preferred.

Skilled in project scheduling time management and resource allocation to ensure efficient project completion.

Valid driver s license with a clean driving record required for operating company vehicles.

Required Experience and Education:

Minimum of 6 years of experience in concrete construction with at least 23 years in a foreman or supervisory role.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in concrete technology or construction management is a plus.

Knowledge Of:

Concrete mixing pouring finishing and curing techniques.

Safety regulations and best practices in concrete construction.

Construction tools and equipment related to concrete work.

Regulations and standards for accessibility and state construction requirements.
