Accounting Head

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Accounting to join one of our clients a prestigious International Private School. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and finance with a preference for those holding a Brevet AB certification. This role is crucial in managing the schools financial operations ensuring accuracy compliance and efficiency in all accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the accounting department ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Develop and implement financial policies and procedures in line with the schools objectives.

Prepare and present financial statements budgets and forecasts to the schools management team.

Monitor and manage cash flow accounts payable accounts receivable and payroll.

Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.

Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure any recommendations are implemented.

Provide financial analysis and advice to support strategic decisionmaking.

Supervise and mentor accounting staff fostering a collaborative and efficient working

environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.

Brevet AB certification (preferred).

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles financial reporting and tax regulations.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent analytical problemsolving and organizational skills.

Strong communication and leadership abilities.

High level of integrity and attention to detail.
