Your missions
As a Lead Backend Engineer you will take part in the development of new features for one of our solutions. You will solve business and technical enquiries raised by (mostly international) railway airline or sport clubs with the support of our Product Experts Data Scientists and Frontend engineers.
In practice even though there is no typical day you can expect to:
- Work closely with product experts data scientists and infrastructure team to solve large variety of issues
- Be a technical lead within the squad you work with and within Wiremind in general
- Design and develop efficient and easy to maintain code
- Be proactive in the roadmap decisions to keep a good balance between refactor scaling issues and new features
- Share your knowledge with other people and learn from others
- Help improve Wireminds technical stack by: tackling technical problems strengthening our operational monitoring using new framework / technos where needed introducing new development practises etc.
- Have fun hacking during our slack weeks

Your profile
- You have at least 5 years of experience using python or an equivalent backend language in a large codebase
- You are interested in solving business problems through technological solutions
- You care about quality
- You have experience working with large codebases with multiple contributors
- Youre not afraid to refactor and improve existing code
- Youre able to debug and follow bugs over multiple layers of architecture
