Job Description

Maintenance Team Lead

One of Canadas leading manufacturers of protein products is seeking a Maintenance Lead Hand for their facility in Toronto ON. The Maintenance Lead Hand will play a crucial role in the plants production and operations division ensuring that all mechanical equipment and systems are operating efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain all mechanical equipment and systems within the plant.
  • Conduct daily preoperational inspections and perform necessary repairs.
  • Execute preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment as per work order requests equipment stoppages or breakdowns.
  • Assign tasks to employees provide adequate training and ensure all tasks are completed to specifications.
  • Adhere to and utilize company policies/procedures and HACCP regulations.

Qualifications

  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) or Electrician (309A) certification.
  • Minimum of two years experience performing repairs in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical electrical and refrigeration systems is an asset.
  • Proficiency in using power and manual tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive (base rate) of $42 per hour.
