Hi
I m the direct recruiter for a Medical Evaluation Board Physician with the oldest running hospital in the Navy medical system.
Oceantown Portsmouth VA Location
Indefinite 1099 Contract
MF 8:00AM5:00PM 1912 hours annually
Hourly pay $120 or MORE
As Medical Evaluation Board Physician with Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP) () as a medical expert/advisor on the Medical Evaluation Board consulting with & advising other healthcare professionals in managing patients medical/treatment you will compile/review medical documentation for the Secretary of the Navy who submits to the Physical Evaluation Board for approval. No voting or chairing functions in this role.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Medical duties covering diagnosis disability processing/determination
Review patient consults/conduct medical record reviews/physical exams providing input to Department Head: fitness for duty determinations physical readiness waivers determinations of suitability for referred Active Duty/Reserve/Medically Retired personnel on Disability
Clinically assess patients/review medical records to determine need for further clinical evaluation
Fulltime clinic hours are MondayFriday between the hours of 7am 5pm. Shifts scheduled for 8.5 hours. Alternative/compressed schedules may be discussed.
REQUIREMENTS
M.D./D.O. & 3 years of experience within the last 5 years in any of: Family Medicine Internal Medicine Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation or Occupational Medicine:
BLS
Valid unrestricted medical license in at least 1 state territory or commonwealth of the U.S. (VA state license NOT required)
Immunizations/Covid 19
US Citizen
