• Installation and Assembly:
• Install and assemble mechanical components and machinery according to specifications and blueprints.
• Ensure proper alignment and adjustment of components to ensure optimal functionality.
• Maintenance and Repair:
• Perform regular maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure reliability.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective repairs.
• Inspection and Testing:
• Inspect mechanical systems and components for wear and tear and test equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Use precision measuring instruments to check the alignment and accuracy of parts.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Follow safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in all maintenance and repair activities.
• Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities repairs and parts used.
• Report any issues or discrepancies to the Maintenance Manager or Supervisor.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with other team members and departments to support production and operational needs.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff or apprentices as required.
• Equipment Handling:
• Operate and maintain hand and power tools as well as other equipment used in mechanical work.
• Ensure tools and equipment are kept in good condition and properly stored.
• ProblemSolving:
• Identify potential issues before they become major problems and suggest improvements to processes or equipment.
• Stay updated with new technologies and techniques in mechanical maintenance.

• Education: ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in Fitting or a related mechanical trade.
• Experience: 2 years of experience as a fitter or in a similar mechanical maintenance role preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and handson experience with fitting and assembly tasks.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in mechanical maintenance.
• Attributes: Detailoriented reliable and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

• Hours: Fulltime position with standard business hours. Overtime or shift work may be required based on operational needs.
• Environment: Primarily factory or workshopbased involving manual labor and exposure to machinery and tools.
