Job Description
Position: WordPress Developer
Location: Vadodara
Department: IT/Development
Employment Type: FullTime/PartTime
Job Summary:
The WordPress Developer will be responsible for both backend and frontend development including creating WordPress themes and plugins. This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP HTML5 CSS3 and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen the color and font choices and so on).
Key Responsibilities:
- Theme and Plugin Development:
- Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements.
- Modify and enhance existing WordPress themes and plugins.
- Site Building and Maintenance:
- Design and implement new features and functionality.
- Establish and guide the website s architecture.
- Ensure highperformance and availability and manage all technical aspects of the CMS.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with designers and other developers to integrate frontend designs with backend functionality.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to implement SEO best practices and ensure content is optimized.
- Troubleshooting and ProblemSolving:
- Identify and resolve issues related to WordPress sites.
- Conduct website performance tests and troubleshoot content issues.
- Code Quality and Best Practices:
- Write clean welldesigned code and follow best practices for web development.
- Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement website security and data protection measures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Web Development or related field.
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer.
- Strong understanding of PHP backend development.
- Good understanding of frontend technologies including HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript jQuery.
- Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON XML).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with website performance optimization (WPO) and SEO.
- Familiarity with tools such as Elementor WPBakery or similar page builders.
- Understanding of modern UI/UX trends.
- Experience with ecommerce platforms like WooCommerce.
- Familiarity with serverside technologies and hosting environments.
