Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine radiological xray and CT procedures as prescribed by physicians or healthcare providers.
Ensure patient comfort and cooperation during imaging procedures.
Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure proper positioning of patients for accurate images.
Provide direct patient care addressing the needs of patients of all groups.
Explain procedures to patients addressing their concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during and after imaging procedures.
Maintain accurate and thorough records of imaging procedures patient information and any observed anomalies.
Ensure proper documentation of radiation doses administered.
Adhere to hospital and departmental attendance punctuality and safety guidelines.
Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.
Wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment as necessary.
Qualifications:
Vocational/Technical Degree in Radiography Program.
12 years of Radiology or XRay experience.
Required Certifications/Licensures: ARRT Registry eligible obtained within one year of hire.
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in handling customer relations and providing excellent patient care.
Basic computer skills and general clerical abilities.
Working Conditions:
General environment: Work in a welllit airconditioned area with moderate noise levels.
Possible exposure to high noise levels bright lights and limited hazardous substances or infectious organisms.
Ability to switch between tasks of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
May be scheduled as needed including overtime.
Physical Requirements:
Nearnormal vision with clarity at various distances and the ability to distinguish colors.
Good manual dexterity and eyehandfoot coordination.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks/motions.
