FICO Blaze Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Design implement and test business rules using FICO Blaze Advisor
• Minimum 4 years of Core Java experience required preferably with Java 8.
• Experience with both external and embedded databases.
• Ability to write simple and complex SQL Queries preferably with Oracle.
• Solid understanding of objectoriented programming.
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns Familiarity with concepts of RESTful services and JSON.
• Creating/revising database schemas that represent and support business processes.
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit test frameworks (Brunt and Junit).
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git SVN etc.
• Familiarity with build tools such as Ant Maven and Gradle.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and understand rule requirements
• Integrate FICO Blaze Advisor with existing systems and applications
• Optimize rule performance and ensure adherence to best practices
• Develop and maintain documentation for business rules and decision processes
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Support and troubleshoot production issues related to business rules
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in rules management and decision modeling
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure alignment of business rules with strategic objectives
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the rules management process

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
• Proven 5 experience in developing business rules using FICO Blaze Advisor
• Comfort using programming languages and relational databases
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency in Java programming language
• Strong understanding of rules engine concepts and decision modeling
• Experience in software development and implementation
• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills
• Good understanding of agile development methodologies
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with version control systems and build tools
• Certification in FICO Blaze Advisor is a plus
• Knowledge of financial services or the insurance industry is advantageous
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of business rules is desirable
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
