CNC Machinist

• Program set up and run Kunzmann CNC machines with Heidenhain Control.
• Setup and run CNC Vertical Machining Center DMG 103V.
• Retrieve CNC programs and load them to the machine.
• Edit in Gcode and manually program using Heidenhain Control.
• Setup fixturing and come up with your setups on the machine.
• Perform firstpiece and inprocess quality inspections.
• Set up cutters in holders and adjust height and length.
• Read drawings/prints to identify operations specifications and tolerances.
• Meet precise tolerances and finishing requirements.
• Use various hand tools to finish parts and check.
• Use measuring devices like micrometers and calipers to ensure specifications are met.
• Perform operator maintenance tasks like oiling greasing and cleaning the machine (5S).
• Use a forklift or crane to store and retrieve fixturing and other essential equipment.
• Operate other machines in the department as needed.

• High school diploma required. Advanced education or apprenticeship preferred.
• 35 years of CNC experience preferred.
• Strong skills in editing GCode and manual programming preferred.
• Strong math skills and the ability to work from detailed and involved part drawings and specifications to perform operations to the capacity of the machine and controls are also essential.
• Willingness to move between work centers.

• Ability to lift heavy weights bend stoop and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work in various conditions such as extreme heat and noise levels.
