Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Estimator/Tender Manager to lead and manage our bidding and estimation processes particularly in the US tender market. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with tender/bidding platforms like ConstructConnect and Sweets Construction as well as a strong background in architectural hardware specifically railings. This role requires a keen focus on cost estimation the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and a deep understanding of US market dynamics. Excellent communication skills particularly with US clients are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender/Bid Management:
- Identify and manage new tender opportunities in the US market.
- Analyze tender documents specifications and drawings to prepare comprehensive bid submissions.
- Find new leads and source RFQs from a network of architects general contractors etc.
- Maintain and execute a sales pipeline.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information for tender submissions.
- Cost Estimation:
- Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects involving railings and other architectural hardware.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to obtain precise pricing for materials and services.
- Evaluate and mitigate potential risks associated with tender submissions.
- B2B Sales & Client Management:
- Drive B2B sales efforts including identifying potential business clients and building strong relationships.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with business clients to secure favorable contracts.
- Communicate effectively with USbased clients to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations.
- Project Coordination:
- Ensure all tender deadlines are met and submissions are completed to a high standard.
- Maintain and update a database of bids proposals and project outcomes.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on bid status and success rates.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an estimator or tender manager role within the construction or architectural hardware industry.
- Familiarity with tender/bidding platforms like ConstructConnect Sweets Construction etc.
- Strong knowledge of railings and related hardware products.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for cost estimation.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills particularly with US clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tender management software.
- Engineering degree preferably in Civil Engineering
- Ability to provide technical support for complex cases

- Prior experience in a startup environment.
