Senior Cost Accountant

Position Overview:

The Senior Cost Accountant is responsible for standard costing budgeting cost variance analysis and driving business process improvements. The Senior Cost Accountant will play a pivotal role in refining the standard costing system and contributing to the company s growth.

Core Responsibilities:

• Analyze manufacturing costs and generate reports comparing standard costs to actuals.
  
• Manage and enhance the cost accounting system.
  
• Gather and analyze data on costs related to raw materials labor and other standard expenses.
  
• Lead and participate in physical inventories reporting findings to the executive team.
  
• Assist in monthend closing by preparing journal entries related to product lines and standard costs.
  
• Collaborate with operations and engineering to support costing and new product development.
  
• Provide various ad hoc reports as requested by management.
  
• Improve standard cost reporting and variance analysis.
  

MustHave Qualifications:

• BS in Accounting/Finance.
  
• 5 years of manufacturing experience with a focus on cost accounting.
  
• Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  
• Strong communication and relationshipbuilding skills.
  
• Proficiency in Excel Outlook and other Microsoft Office products.

• Experience with JD Edwards ERP system.
