Job Description

Job Title: Chef

Location: Kiambu County Kenya

Experience: 35 Years

Education: Diploma in Culinary Arts or related field

Industry: Hospitality (3 to 5Star Hotels)

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join their team in Kiambu County. The ideal candidate will have 35 years of culinary experience a diploma in Culinary Arts and a proven track record of working in highend 3 to 5star hotels. The Chef will be responsible for creating and executing highquality menus managing kitchen operations and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Menu Planning and Development:
    • Design and update menus that reflect creativity quality and seasonality.
    • Ensure menus cater to a diverse clientele including special dietary requirements.
  2. Kitchen Operations Management:
    • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation cooking and plating.
    • Ensure kitchen staff adhere to hygiene safety and sanitation standards.
    • Manage inventory order supplies and maintain cost control.
  3. Team Leadership:
    • Lead train and mentor kitchen staff fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.
    • Schedule and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
  4. Quality Control:
    • Monitor food quality presentation and consistency to maintain the highest standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  5. Customer Experience:
    • Interact with guests to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction.
    • Adjust menus and service based on customer preferences and trends.
  6. Cost Management:
    • Monitor food and labor costs to meet budgetary requirements.
    • Implement costsaving measures without compromising quality.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field.
  • 35 years of experience as a Chef in a 3 to 5star hotel.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards.
  • Creative flair and passion for highquality cuisine.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
