LVN Corrections IV Therapy Certified Contract Hire TX
Beaumont Texas
Active LVN state license (TX state) IV Therapy Certified 1 year MedSurg LTAC experience AHA BLS certifications

Job Responsibilities:
- Provides nursing services treatments and diagnostic and preventive procedures appropriate for inmate care and safety
- Interprets physicians orders
- Administers prescribed medication
- When physician is present assists physician with sick call
- Applies surgical dressings and bandages
- Provides emergency first aid care
- Checks and records vital signs
- Instructs inmates concerning discharge planning
- Observes signs and symptoms during sick call when physician is not present
- Reports reactions to treatments and medications as well as changes in the inmates emotional or physical condition
- May instruct and supervise correctional staff concerning inmate health care and needs
- Consults with supervisor on problem cases
- Checks and orders supplies
- Maintains accurate medical records
- Provides health care education inmates
Job Qualifications:
- Active LVN state license (TX state)
- IV Therapy Certified
- 1 year MedSurg LongTerm Acute Care (LTAC) experience
- AHA BLS certifications
- Able to work available shift times: Day 5:45am5:15pm or Night 5:45pm6:15am

- Do you have at least 1 year experience in MedSurg LongTerm Acute Care

- Do you have current physicals/vaccines: Covid19 Varicella MMR TDap TB HepB Flu Current physical
- Do you have corrections experience (not required)
- Are you able to do the following: clinic inpatient med pass outpatient wound care cell side care ER critical care
- Which shift would you be able to work: Day shift: 5:45a5:15p or Night shift: 5:45p6:15a
- Would you able to provide facility clearance documents handsigned
