As a Senior Service Manager you will:
- Oversee the Deployable CIS (Communication and Information Systems) infrastructure as a service ensuring system readiness in accordance with SLA requirements.
- Coordinate closely with service lines and support centers to ensure highquality engineering support and system availability.
- Manage Configuration Management to maintain assets in known states and ensure accurate accounting.
- Conduct risk assessments to address obsolescence and initiate new projects when necessary.
- Develop and manage Change Management plans to resolve identified issues and update the configuration baseline as needed.
- Support the Principal Service Manager in preparing the annual Operation and Maintenance budget submission.
- Contribute to the maintenance and update of system documentation for operation maintenance and training.
- Manage contractor support resources and oversee the acceptance of contractor services.
- Provide input and recommendations for the Quarterly SLA report and SLA Change management process.
- Assess manpower and O&M budget requirements.
- Support project managers during project development delivery and transition into service phases.
- Deputize for higher grade staff when required.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
What You Bring to the Table:
- A Bachelors degree in a related discipline with at least 3 years of relevant postdegree experience or at least 10 years of extensive and progressive experience in related duties.
- ITIL Foundation and Intermediate Certifications in Service Design Service Transition Service Operation Service Strategy or Continual Service Improvement (or the latest versions).
- Strong experience in IT services engineering planning operations maintenance and management.
- Demonstrable experience as a line manager including the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
- Solid experience in Configuration Management and Change Management processes and tools.
- Significant business and managerial skills including contingency planning budget management and managing smallscale projects related to network monitoring and performance management services.
You should possess the ability to:
- Lead and manage teams effectively with proven experience as an operational or technical team lead.
- Demonstrate strong report writing and presentation skills.
- Stay updated on advances in Information Technology.
- Work in an international environment with experience in both military and civilian settings being advantageous.
