What will your role look like
As a Senior Data Specialist you will contribute to our AI auditing team performing sociotechnical analysis reviewing and analyzing data coding and creating audit audit reports publications and other auditrelated content.
The successful candidate will have 5 years of sound experience in AI auditing AI bias and/or responsible AI with a focus on practical application. They will be eager to collaborate with a diverse and motivated team and help shape a more ethical future in technology.
Your key responsibilities:
- Drive the creation and refinement of the scientific principles underlying our innovative tools designed to measure monitor and mitigate bias in AI systems.
- Direct the implementation of quantitative methodologies including overseeing data collection processes coding initiatives metric development and comprehensive analysis of results.
- Utilize advanced statistical tools and qualitative analysis methods to conduct thorough sociotechnical analyses ensuring audits are robust applicable and actionable in realworld scenarios.
- Partner with crossfunctional teams to enhance existing products and spearhead the development of new solutions that meet evolving client needs and market demands.
- Managing project documentation and communicating with stakeholders and clients.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in AI auditing and research to inform project activities.
Requirements
Musthave skills:
- Fluency in English
- Advanced Degree in Relevant Field: A degree or specialization in Data Science Computer Science Statistics Mathematics or a related field.
- Proven track record of at least 57 years in AI machine learning or a related field with a strong emphasis on bias detection and mitigation.
- Deep understanding and handson experience with statistical analysis data collection coding and developing metrics. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python R and tools like TensorFlow PyTorch or similar.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting AI audits including the application of both statistical tools and qualitative analysis methods to perform comprehensive sociotechnical analyses.
- Experience collaborating on the development of AIbased products with an ability to translate client needs and market demands into practical solutions.
- Proven capability in managing complex projects including documentation and stakeholder communication. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
- Commitment to staying current with the latest research developments and best practices in AI auditing and ethical AI.
- Ability to work effectively within a team mentor junior staff and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems related to AI bias and auditing.
- Deep understanding of the ethical implications of AI and a commitment to developing fair and unbiased AI systems.

Must-haves Fluency in both Spanish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with virtual communication tools. Experience with people management software (e.g., Zoho People, BambooHR, Workday) is an advantage. Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; self-motivated and disciplined. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and processes. Familiarity with financial processes and experience handling financial documents is a plus. Alignment with the organization's mission and values.
