Head Of Category Management - Supply Chain

We are looking to hire a Head of Category Management Supply Chain for one of our clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Engineering or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred
• Minimum of 810 years of experience in supply chain management strategic sourcing or category management
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fastpaced environment Resultsoriented proactive collaborative and a strong communicator

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement category strategies that align with the overall supply chain and company objectives
• Conduct market analysis risk assessments and spend analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction quality improvement and supplier consolidation
• Define sourcing strategies including makeorbuy decisions supplier selection and contract negotiation
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply and optimal pricing
• Lead mentor and develop a team of category managers and sourcing professionals
• Set performance goals provide coaching and ensure continuous skill development within the team
• Work closely with operations logistics finance and other departments to ensure alignment on category strategies and procurement activities
• Identify and implement costsaving initiatives including alternative sourcing process improvements and value engineering
• Monitor and manage category budgets including cost forecasting spend tracking and variance analysis
• Identify potential supply chain risks including supplier dependency
  geopolitical factors and supply disruptions
• Develop and implement mitigation strategies including dual sourcing
  inventory buffers and contingency planning
• Prepare and present reports to senior management highlighting key insights challenges and opportunities
