Job Overview
As an Accountant you will play a critical role in managing the financial health of our organization. You will be responsible for finance management and reporting ensuring accurate and timely completion of accounts payable and receivable payroll processing and Business Activity Statement (BAS) preparation. Your expertise will help us maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and contribute to our overall financial strategy.
Job Description
Finance Management and Reporting
- Oversee daily financial transactions and ensure accurate recording in the accounting system.
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
Accounts Payable:
- Process and manage supplier invoices ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable activities.
Accounts Receivable
- Manage customer invoices ensuring accurate and timely billing.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices and overdue payments
- Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and maintain accurate records.
Payroll Processing:
- Administer payroll functions including calculating employee salaries and processing pay runs.
- Ensure compliance with Australian taxation superannuation and employment laws
- Handle payrollrelated inquiries and adjustments.
BAS Preparation:
- Prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS) in accordance with Australian tax regulations.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of tax laws and ensure compliance.
Requirements
Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
Registered Australian Tax Agent or BAS Agent
Xero software and Work flowMax or anything equivalent for job expense reporting
Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
Strong organizational and timemanagement skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
