Job Title: RN Accreditation & Regulatory Specialist
Location: Columbus GA 31904
Salary: $65000 $95000 (depending on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced RN to join our team as an Accreditation & Regulatory Specialist in Columbus GA. This role is essential for ensuring that our healthcare facility remains in compliance with all federal state and accreditation standards. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the quality of patient care by monitoring regulatory requirements participating in audits and implementing corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess compliance with federal state and regulatory agency requirements including but not limited to The Joint Commission (TJC) Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and other accreditation bodies.
- Collaborate with department leaders to ensure policies and practices align with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in internal and external audits and surveys to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement action plans to address any deficiencies identified during audits or inspections.
- Provide education and training to staff on accreditation standards regulatory updates and best practices in patient safety and quality care.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation required for accreditation and regulatory submissions.
- Stay current with changes in regulations and accreditation standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Serve as a resource to clinical and nonclinical staff regarding regulatory requirements and accreditation processes.
MustHaves:
- Education: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in healthcare with at least 1 year of direct experience in accreditation compliance or quality improvement.
- Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia.
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of federal state and regulatory agency standards including The Joint Commission (TJC) and CMS regulations.
NicetoHaves:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Previous experience with quality improvement initiatives and familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or Certified Joint Commission Professional (CJCP).
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence change.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadlinedriven environment.
