This plays a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the accounting functions within an organization.
What youll do:
you ll establish and maintain strong working relationships with key customers and stakeholders and deliver high quality and consistent financial statutory regulatory and management reporting outputs. You ll also comply with relevant policies and consider and escalate the adequacy and effectiveness of the business s controls on a regular basis.
Day to day you ll:
Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and operational efficiency. Ensure accurate reporting to board and investors adhering to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
1. Financial Reporting: Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting including the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
2. Compliance and Audits: Overseeing compliance with accounting standards and regulations and coordinating internal and external audits.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Leading the budgeting process and providing financial forecasts to support strategic planning.
4. Team Leadership: Managing and mentoring the accounting team setting performance goals and providing professional development opportunities.
5. Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
6. Stakeholder Communication: Collaborating with other departments and senior management to provide financial insights and support decisionmaking.
7. Technical Accounting: Addressing complex accounting issues and ensuring the application of appropriate accounting principles.
This role often requires a strong background in accounting excellent leadership skills and the ability to navigate complex financial landscapes along with the ability to analyse financial data to identify trends risks and opportunities providing actionable insights to management. Lead efforts to streamline and improve financial processes and systems. Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders ensuring clear communication and alignment on financial goals.
Qualifications:
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:
8 to 10 years of work experience of which at least 3 years in the similar role.
Strong Operational/Technical Knowledge.
Handson experience in SaaS based accounting systems.
Merger / Acquisition /Corporate consolidation experience would be an added advantage
Experience with US based companies corporate consolidation/ US GAAP is a plus
Strong process orientation.
Strong Leadership abilities and organizational skills.
Entrepreneurial thinks out of the box.
Able to drive change and look for operational efficiencies/synergies across the network
Confident in exercising a good judgment in decision making skills.
Gogetter; comfortable taking ownership of projects and expanding scope of responsibilities.
