Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Quality Manager to lead our manufacturing plants quality and regulatory compliance efforts. Your role will ensure product safety quality and adherence to regulations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance Leadership: Develop and implement preventative quality systems and ensure compliance with established policies.

Specification Compliance: Oversee quality testing for ingredients and finished products ensuring all specifications are met.

Training & Development: Train and develop operators on quality standards and procedures.

Complaint Management: Handle customer complaints effectively providing analytical results in a timely manner.

Communication: Collaborate with sales and plant personnel to address quality trends issues and opportunities.

Budget Management: Prepare and manage the laboratory budget identifying opportunities for cost reduction and margin improvement.

Audit & Compliance: Conduct internal vendor and contract manufacturing audits to maintain high standards.

Inventory Management: Manage offspec materials including scheduling and reworking as necessary.

Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with company state federal and international safety and regulatory policies.

Qualifications

Experience: 7 years of QA management experience in manufacturing with a focus on dairy and familiarity with the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO).

Education: Bachelors Degree in Life Science or a related field.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and computer software applications.

Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Proven supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
