Founding Engineer Fullstack Software Developer Nextjs

At acemate we believe that generative AI will fundamentally change the way we learn. Our edtech platform turns documents into an interactive learning experience featuring personalized exams contextualized chats and knowledge graphs. We support students in exam preparation assist educators in creating more engaging classes and automate the creation of corporate learning content for businesses. Built by founders with previous experience at BCG Antler BMW SAP and N26 we have secured 150k in nonequity funding through public grants and are aiming to raise a preseed round by the end of the year.

Tasks

• Development implementation and maintenance of features for our core product in Next.js
• Analyze the performance to identify bottlenecks and areas for optimization
• Ensure quality control using endtoend testing frameworks
• Proactively contribute with ideas and lead the development of new features and improvements
• Improve UX/UI design

Requirements

• Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
• Strong background in Next.js (or at least React)
• Optional: first experience with Tailwind CSS Supabase genAI applications (esp. Vercel AI SDK) PostgreSQL web analytics tools and testing frameworks
• Previous experience in a development team either through professional employment or opensource contributions
• Entrepreneurial spirit and experience in a startup environment preferred
• Fluent in either English or German
