Red Hat Satellite Migration Specialist Contract - 1 Month

We are seeking a highly skilled Red Hat Satellite Migration Specialist to join our client on a shortterm contract basis. The successful candidate will assist with a critical Greenfield Red Hat Satellite 6 Migration project for our client a leading global IT software company. This role requires a strong technical background in Red Hat Satellite with a focus on infrastructure deployment server migration and postmigration validation.

Tasks

Prerequisites Validation:

• Review and validate all prerequisites necessary for the successful deployment of the new Red Hat Satellite infrastructure.

Deployment of New Red Hat Satellite Infrastructure:

• Set up and configure the new Red Hat Satellite environment on the customers infrastructure.

Migration of Red Hat Satellite and Capsule Servers:

• Execute the migration process for Red Hat Satellite and Capsule Servers ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

Migration Lot #0 (Pilot Lot outside PROD):

• Lead the pilot migration outside of the production environment to test and validate the migration strategy.

Migration Batch #1 (PROD Batch):

• Oversee the first production batch migration ensuring all systems are fully operational postmigration.

Migration Batch #2 (PROD Batch):

• Manage the second production batch migration ensuring seamless transition and functionality of all systems.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Red Hat Satellite 6 migration and infrastructure deployment.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems and network configurations.
• Proven ability to manage and execute complex technical migrations in a production environment.
• Excellent problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
• Effective communication skills with proficiency in English.
• French language skills are a plus but not required.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model with 3 days onsite in Paris and 2 days remote.
