Accountant

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our fastpaced manufacturing team. You will support the Accounting Manager with a range of accounting tasks. Your primary duties will include:

• Assisting with monthend and yearend reconciliations
  
• Generating and reviewing weekly and monthly financial reports
  
• Documenting and posting fixed assets and depreciation
  
• Reconciling accounts receivable accounts payable profit and loss statements and balance sheets
  
• Preparing and verifying weekly accounts payable payments
  
• Supporting quarterly and annual audits and yearend inventory processes
  
• Reconciling bank accounts and company credit cards
  
• Handling JSOX compliance paperwork
  
• Using 10key data entry for ERP system updates
  
• Learning to provide backup support for accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
  
• Completing weekly payroll submissions and general ledger reporting
  
• Collaborating with the accounting team to efficiently complete projects
  
• Providing daily support and guidance to accounting specialists
  
• Communicating improvements and updates on accounting projects with the team
  
• Performing other tasks as assigned by management
  

Ideal Candidate:

• Education: An Associates degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  
• Experience: 12 years of experience in highvolume accounting roles.
  
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounts payable general ledger and reconciliation processes
    
  • Understanding of GAAP principles
    
  • Ability to perform 10key data entry
    
  • Proficiency in MS Excel including the use of spreadsheets and formulas
    

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ERP systems
  
• Background in manufacturing
  
• Experience in accounts receivable
  
• Knowledge of payroll accounting
