GROW Women Leaders is seeking to hire a Business Development Manager. In this role you will be responsible for Identifying Business Opportunities Building and Maintaining Relationships Sales and Revenue Generation Negotiation and Contract Management and Market Expansion. Your contributions will help us work towards our mission of empowering women particularly immigrants and BIWoC to secure employment and advance their careers.
Job Description:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying developing and implementing strategic business opportunities that align with the company s growth objectives. The BDM will play a key role in driving sales expanding the company s market presence and establishing strong relationships with new and existing clients. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic thinking sales expertise and excellent interpersonal skills to achieve business goals and drive revenue growth.
Research and identify new business opportunities including new markets growth areas trends customers partnerships products and services.
Develop and implement business development strategies that align with the companys longterm goals.
Lead efforts to generate new sales leads actively pursuing and closing business deals that align with company objectives.
Achieve or exceed sales targets and contribute to overall revenue growth.
Manage the sales pipeline tracking progress towards sales goals and reporting on performance.
Conduct market research to understand industry trends competitive dynamics and customer needs.
Use datadriven insights to inform business strategies and identify opportunities for market expansion.
Responsibilities:
Continuously seek opportunities to improve the effectiveness of business development strategies and processes.
Stay uptodate with industry best practices and innovative approaches to business development.
Lead negotiations with clients and partners to secure favorable terms and agreements.
Draft review and manage contracts ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Close deals effectively ensuring alignment with the company s financial and strategic goals.
Work closely with other departments such as Marketing Product Development and Operations to ensure alignment of business development activities with overall company goals.
Provide feedback to internal teams on market trends customer needs and product development opportunities.
Prepare regular reports on business development activities sales performance and market trends.
Use CRM tools to manage sales activities and track progress against targets.
Present findings and recommendations to senior management contributing to strategic decisionmaking.
Build and maintain a strong professional network to support business development efforts.
Stay informed about industry developments and emerging trends that could impact the business.
Business Strategy: Strong understanding of business strategy including the ability to align development activities with the company s longterm goals.
Opportunity Identification: Expertise in identifying potential business partnerships new markets and revenue streams.
Sales Expertise: Proven ability to drive sales growth with a deep understanding of the sales process from lead generation to deal closure.
Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and close deals effectively with clients partners and vendors.
Verbal Communication: Exceptional verbal communication skills to present ideas effectively proposals and reports to stakeholders at all levels.
Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients partners and team members.
Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data interpret trends and make datadriven decisions to improve business performance.
ProblemSolving: Strong problemsolving skills to identify challenges and develop effective solutions.
CRM Proficiency: Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools (e.g. Salesforce HubSpot) to manage leads track sales activities and analyze customer data.
Digital Tools: Familiarity with digital marketing tools data analytics platforms and other software that supports business development activities.
Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the industry in which the company operates including knowledge of trends competitors and regulatory requirements.
A bachelor s degree in Business Administration Marketing Sales Finance or a related field is typically required.
A minimum of 35 years of experience in business development sales marketing or a related field is typically required.
Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to manage sales activities track progress and analyze data (e.g. Salesforce HubSpot).
Ability to analyze market trends identify business opportunities and develop strategies to enter new markets or expand within existing ones.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate business performance and make informed decisions.
Proficiency in multiple languages can be an advantage especially for roles involving international business development.
