Job Title: Collection and Recovery Lead(Credit and Loan Fintech)
Location: Lagos Nigeria
Type: Fulltime

Our client is a leading financial services provider specializing in offering salarybacked loans to government employees in Nigeria. The organization is committed to delivering innovative financial solutions and ensuring financial inclusion for customers. Due to expansion we seek a dynamic and experienced Collection and Recovery Lead to join the team and drive collections and recovery strategy.
Job Summary:
The Collection and Recovery Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing the collections and recovery processes for our credit and loan business. This includes developing and implementing strategies to minimize delinquency rates and recover outstanding debts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in collections and recovery within the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective collections and recovery strategies to minimize delinquency rates and recover outstanding debts.
Lead and manage the collections and recovery team to achieve performance goals.
Monitor and analyze delinquency trends and implement corrective actions as needed.
Build and maintain relationships with clients to facilitate timely debt repayment.
Develop and enforce collections policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to manage legal actions and settlements related to debt recovery.
Provide training and support to the collections and recovery team to enhance their skills and performance.
Prepare and present collections and recovery reports to senior management.
Stay uptodate with industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively manage risks.
Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Finance Economics or a related field. A Master s degree or relevant certifications is a plus.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in collections and recovery within the financial services industry preferably in credit and loan businesses.
Proven track record of achieving collections and recovery targets.
Strong knowledge of collections principles practices and techniques.
Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Experience with collections software and tools.
Indepth understanding of the financial services industry and regulatory environment inNigeri a.
