Job Title: Risk Lead (Credit and Loan Fintech)
Location: Lagos Nigeria
Job Type: Fulltime

Our client is a leading financial services provider specializing in offering salarybacked loans to government employees in Nigeria.
The organization is committed to delivering innovative financial solutions and ensuring financial inclusion for customers.
Due to expansion we seek a dynamic and experienced Risk Lead to join the team and drive risk management strategy.
Job Summary:
The Risk Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of risk management within our credit and loan business. This includes identifying assessing and mitigating risks associated with salarybacked loans. The ideal candidate will have extensive
experience in risk management particularly within the financial services sector and a deep understanding of the Nigerian regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive risk management frameworks and policies.
Conduct thorough risk assessments and analysis for salarybacked loan products.
Monitor and report on risk exposures ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop risk mitigation strategies.
Oversee the development and maintenance of risk models and tools.
Provide training and support to staff on risk management practices.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations.
Prepare and present risk reports to senior management and the board of directors.
Lead investigations into any riskrelated incidents and implement corrective actions.
Stay uptodate with industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively manage risks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Finance Economics Business Administration or a related field. A Master s degree or professional certification (e.g. FRM PRM CFA) is a plus.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in risk management within the financial services industry preferably in credit and loan businesses.
Strong knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
Indepth understanding of the Nigerian financial regulatory environment.
Experience with salarybacked loan products is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
