Job Description |
What you will be doing: Manager Pharmacy Operations Pharmacy Services - Manage staff operations systems and resources to ensure optimal results and high employee engagement.
- Continuously monitor pharmacy processes to promote a safe and efficient environment.
- Ensure that the department operates according to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership for the overall daily operation of the Pharmacy in delivering safe and effective pharmacy services.
- Manage the operations and functions of IV admixture services ensuring all operational and regulatory requirements are met.
- Develop and update policies and procedures to comply with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Monitor workflow on an ongoing basis and formulate strategies for continuous improvement.
- Ensure workplace safety is maintained.
- Lead organize and monitor the operational functions of the department for efficient and safe workflow.
- Oversee drug diversion prevention and monitoring activities ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Accountable for safe and efficient IV admixture service operations in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Hold all responsibilities of the designated person for sterile and nonsterile compounding as defined by regulatory bodies.
- Manage pharmacy automation including monitoring reporting and process improvement.
- Design and execute departmental performance improvement activities related to safety best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Provide corrective action for performance improvement and medication management events documenting actions taken.
- Manage the departmental schedule and ensure optimal staffing for workflow needs.
- Provide oversight for drug procurement storage inventory management and dispensing procedures.
- Participate in departmental hospital and health system committees and make recommendations.
- Coordinate and monitor orientation ongoing training education programs and evaluation processes for pharmacy staff.
- Evaluate monitor and implement safe medication processes and best medication management practices.
- Coordinate and monitor compliance with regulatory agencies regarding medication management processes.
- Maintain working knowledge of and perform basic staff duties to provide coverage if required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Experience you will need: Manager Pharmacy Operations Pharmacy Services - Hospital pharmacy experience.
- Experience in hospital pharmacy operations including leading projects and initiatives.
- Sterile IV compounding experience.
- Managerial or supervisory experience.
- Doctorate Degree in pharmacy or a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a Doctorate Degree.
- PA Pharmacist License
