AWS Solutions Architect

• Take ownership of software architecture across the group ensuring consistency and alignment with best practices
  
• Support each subsidiary and product team with their AWS software architecture requirements
  
• Ensure the Architectural Decision Records process is followed appropriately across all teams
  
• Collaborate extensively with the DevOps backend development and data engineering teams to ensure architectural needs are met
  
• Provide guidance thought leadership and mentorship to development teams to build cloud competencies
  
• Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle for AWS solutions including planning requirements development testing and quality assurance
  
• Maintain a strong focus on security ensuring all architectural decisions uphold the highest security standards
  
• Stay up to date with the latest AWS services and technologies and ensure their appropriate adoption within the group
  

Requirements

• 5 years of experience architecture designing developing and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms
  
• Deep understanding of Amazon Web Services Software development lifecycle best practices Systems architecture design and development InfrastructureAsCode (Cloud formation)
  
• Good understanding of Version Control tools (Git GitHub) Testdriven development Containers and Cluster Managers (Docker) Database architecture ETL Big Data Machine Learning Advanced Analytics Agile principles processes and tools
  
• Bachelors degree (or above) in Computer Science or a related subject
  
• AWS certifications.
