Backend Developer - Fathom Media

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer with expertise in PHP programming language Laravel framework Node.js and Machine Learning to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for developing and maintaining highquality web applications that meet our clients needs. You must have a strong understanding of the latest PHP versions and best practices as well as proficiency in the Laravel framework. Experience in writing and implementing unit tests for PHP Laravel Node.js applications and Machine Learning models is also required.

Responsibilities:

• Develop test and maintain highquality web applications using PHP Laravel and Node.js
• Integrate Machine Learning models into web applications to enhance functionality
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate userfacing elements with serverside logic
• Handle database design optimization and querying using MySQL
• Ensure data security and integrity in the database management process
• Work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as EC2 S3 and Lambda to deploy manage and scale applications
• Write and implement unit tests for PHP Laravel and Node.js applications
• Debug and fix application issues as they arise
• Stay uptodate with the latest trends and technologies in the field

Requirements:

• Expertise in PHP programming language and its latest versions and best practices
• Proficiency in the Laravel framework
• Experience with Node.js and its ecosystem
• Knowledge of Machine Learning principles and experience in integrating ML models into applications
• Experience in writing and implementing unit tests for PHP Laravel and Node.js applications
• Experience in working with MySQL and handling database design optimization and querying
• Knowledge of database management and ensuring data security and integrity
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services such as EC2 S3 and Lambda
• Ability to deploy manage and scale applications on the AWS platform
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
