Job Description

Description

  • Calculating existing series groups and packages to meet deadlines and expectations
  • Distributing relevant internal information
  • Setting up training attendance and supplier meetings
  • Negotiating and managing client trips and fam trips
  • Requesting reports for meetings with necessary information
  • Planning and executing pricing promotion and distribution strategies to maintain relationships

Responsibilities

  • Meeting client expectations and delivering highquality service
  • Offering clients the s and products available
  • Exploring creative ideas and reviewing client offerings
  • Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers
  • Negotiating rates and products
  • Ensuring effective communication with suppliers and colleagues

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND CONTRACTING

  • Ensuring client and management expectations are met
    • Providing competitive rates and value options
    • Adhering to deadlines and presenting proposals
  • Understanding client target markets and developing products accordingly
    • Sharing market research with managers
    • Assisting with supplier negotiations
  • Developing clientspecific brochures
    • Analyzing markets and portfolios
    • Negotiating rates with suppliers
  • Analyzing competitors brochures and ensuring market competitiveness
  • Negotiating with suppliers to maintain competitiveness

Supplier Negotiation

  • Understanding the market and competition to ensure competitiveness
  • Maintaining good supplier relationships
  • Negotiating rates and value adds for client benefit

Managing Contracting Process

  • Requesting rates and allocations
  • Negotiating rates to meet client expectations
  • Saving documentation and sharing information internally
  • Handing over proposals to Operations and Reservations

Administration

  • Following divisional procedures and policies
  • Updating product lists and rate cards

Financial Reporting

  • Explaining variances
  • Managing margins
  • Reconciling files

Teamwork

  • Building and maintaining relationships within the team
  • Proactively engaging with team members

Supplier Relationships

  • Building relationships with preferred partners
  • Securing the best rates
  • Actively sourcing new products

Learning & Development

  • Developing product knowledge
  • Participating in industry events and workshops
  • Staying updated on industry trends

Technical Skills

  • Meeting client specifications
  • Managing documentation effectively
  • Strong Excel and Word skills
  • Time management and problemsolving abilities


Requirements

Qualifications and Expertise

  • Matric/Grade 12
  • Tertiary Qualification in Tourism preferred
  • Tourplan knowledge
  • Negotiation skills and industry knowledge
  • Language skills: English (compulsory) German & French (advantageous)

Competency

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Working well under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Integrity and honesty
  • Problemsolving and negotiation abilities
