What You Will Do
As an Engineer in the Operational Risk team you will be integral to independent control testing and data maintenance within our internal governance risk & compliance systems. Your work will enhance the dataled oversight of third party risks fraud risks and financial reporting risks. This position is crucial in ensuring comprehensive and efficient operational risk oversight and control within Klarna. You will work with Python and SQL LLM Prompt Engineering and OpenAI to achieve your objectives.

• Design and build of automated solutions that collates and analyzes operational risk data from both internal systems and external data sources

• Design and implement solutions to automate control testing across operational risk areas.

• Maintain Klarnas Governance Risk and Compliance system whilst aiming to continuously improve the system for both first and second line of defense users.

• Perform independent control testing and process reviews to ensure the first line of defense in the company operates within risk appetite.

• Conduct indepth analysis of structured and unstructured data to monitor operational risk performance. Identify trends and patterns to provide actionable insights and recommendations to first line of defense.

• Assist in preparing risk reports ensuring compliance with reporting requirements in EU US and UK.
  

Who You Are

• At least 3 years of experience in a financial services company or a bank with an understanding of risk management frameworks and practices.

• Proficient in Python and SQL with experience in operational automation.

• Skilled in LLM Prompt Engineering and adept in integrating OpenAI technologies.

• Ability to transform business requirements into technical solutions.

• Strong problemsolving skills with a proactive approach to managing risks .

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex information.

• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in crossfunctional teams.

Awesome to Have

• Experience working with internal systems and data platforms.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards on risk management.

• Prior experience in performing independent reviews and testing of internal business processes.
