Technical Manager Maternity Cover

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Duties:

.

Management of Food Safety and Quality management system and procedures.

.

Ensure compliance with SALSA HACCP food safety organic standards legal compliance and customer requirements of all products.

.

Host and prepare for third party audits.

.

Liaising with customers statutory bodies and external parties during audits and visits.

.

Conducting internal audits according to schedule.

.

Ensure strict food safety GMP and hygiene standards are implemented maintained and adhered to.

.

Address any technical issues raised externally and internally

.

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including production operations and purchasing to drive continuous improvement and improve quality processes.

.

Agree and maintain specifications with suppliers to ensure consistency of products supplied.

.

Investigate and resolve quality issues nonconformances and customer complaints implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.

.

Ensure agreed KPI’s are achieved.

.

Keep up to date with legislative changes and technical developments.

.

Management and development of Quality Assurance Technician.

Essential Criteria:

.

5 years previous technical/ quality management experience in FMCG / Food Manufacturing environment

.

Level 3 HACCP

.

Level 3 Food Safety

.

Internal Auditing qualification

.

Third level Food related qualification e.g. in food science food technology or related science subject.

.

Excellent leadership skills with ability to manage a variety of cross functional team members.

.

Fluent in English with excellent communication skills across a variety of media – verbal & written with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams and external stakeholders.

.

Competent in problem solving team building planning and decision making.

.

Good planning organizational and time management skills.

.

Passion for delivering excellent customer service.

.

Good general computer skills including the MS Office suite of tools.
