Job Description


L4B Software is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our IT team in Pune.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux and Windows administration experience with LXC containers networking expertise and a solid understanding of Active Directory. This role requires someone detailoriented can work independently and can manage and maintain our IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance security and availability.


At L4B Software you will:

  • Manage and maintain Linux and Windows servers ensuring system availability performance and security.
  • Administer and manage LXC containers for application deployment and management.
  • Design implement and manage network infrastructure including switches routers firewalls and VPNs.
  • Administer Active Directory including user and group management GPOs and AD integration with other systems.
  • Perform routine system maintenance including software updates patches and backups.
  • Monitor system performance identify issues and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices across all systems.
  • Provide technical support to endusers and resolve any hardware or software issues.
  • Document system configurations processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and initiatives.



Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At Least 2 years of experience in system administration or a similar role.
  • Linux Administration: Extensive experience in Linux server administration including LXC container management.
  • Networking: Strong understanding of networking principles including TCP/IP DNS DHCP VLANs and routing.
  • Active Directory: Proven experience managing and administering Active Directory environments including GPOs user management and ADintegrated services.
  • Windows Administration: Experience in Windows server administration including roles like DNS DHCP
  • Jenkins: Handson experience in installing and troubleshooting Jenkins.
  • System Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Ability to monitor system performance and implement necessary adjustments to optimize system functionality.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    NicetoHave Experience:
  • Atlassian Administration: Experience administering Atlassian tools such as Jira Confluence.
  • Jenkins: Handson experience in configuring managing and troubleshooting Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines.
  • Scripting/Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in embedded Linux development and software engineering. Yocto and Buildroot: Proficiency in Yocto Project and Buildroot build systems for creating customized Linux distributions. Kernel Modules/Device Drivers: Strong expertise in developing and integrating kernel modules and device drivers into the Linux kernel. Embedded C/C++ Development: Demonstrated experience in embedded C/C++ development for resource-constrained systems. Linux Kernel Knowledge: Familiarity with Linux kernel internals and the ability to make kernel-level modifications and contributions. BSP Development: Previous experience in creating and maintaining Board Support Packages (BSP) for embedded platforms. Version Control: Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git, for source code management. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges efficiently. Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, fostering a positive and supportive work culture.
