Our client is seeking a General Engineering Supervisor to oversee all engineering activities in an underground coal mine ensuring safe efficient and compliant operations. This role includes managing maintenance supervising engineering teams optimizing processes and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations. This person needs to come from Engineering background and not a Miner background.

Requirements:

Minimum education (essential):

• Grade 12
• Minimum of N4 Certificate (Preferably electrical engineering)
• Foreman Certificate preferable

Minimum applicable experience (years):

• At least 7 years of Experience within an underground environment (Huge advantage of Underground coal experience)
• The person must have an engineering background not a miner background.
• Underground Mining Experience is a nonnegotiable so please do not apply if you do not have this experience.
• Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in Mining Industry.
• Proven leadership and project management skills.

Job Description:
