Job Description

We are looking for an estimator with 5 years experience in estimating and project management in the commercial electrical industry. If youre skilled in pricing new projects as well as change orders to existing along with project management experience this would be a great fit for your next career move.

This is a fulltime position with regular daytime hours. Our offices are located in North Scottsdale.

MTJ is a full service commercial electrical contractor established in 2002 specializing in facilities maintenance new builds tenant improvements and renovations. Position Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide complete and accurate cost estimates by analyzing the materials and labor needed to complete projects while meeting profitability goals.

Manage projects through to completion ensuring they stay on track with minimal delays and costs.

Be able to understand potential risks involved in projects create production schedules etc.

Prepare work and guidelines and create drawings for distribution systems and new consumers.

Communicate with customers and recommends appropriate locations wire and transformer sizes.

Uphold and enforce our high safety standards while meeting all customer expectations.

Professionally represent the companys mission and values.

Manage all financial aspects of projects through ongoing job forecasting.

Oversee precon meetings to ensure successful handoff from estimating to field.

Collaborate with prefabrication and design departments

Set clear goals and expectations to foreman.

Negotiate and resolve all customer concerns.

When necessary estimate change orders for assigned projects.

Manage all jobs closeout procedures.

Conduct post project reviews to determine areas for future improvement.

Develop/maintain network of professional relationships within our industry.

Requirements:

A bachelors degree in construction science architecture engineering or licensed electrician.

Skilled in math and have the ability to predict the possible issues of the project.

Must have good communication skills must be able to read blueprints electrical works what materials are needed on the project.

Strong computer skills. Excellent verbal and written communication.

5 years of previous experience as an estimator is desirable.

Valid drivers license and transportation with a clean driving record
