AWS Cloud Engineer

Job Summary:

The AWS Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the development deployment and maintenance of cloudbased solutions on the AWS platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS services infrastructure as code and a deep understanding of cloud architecture and best practices. This role involves working closely with software developers system administrators and other IT staff to ensure the smooth operation of cloud systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Infrastructure Design: Design and implement scalable secure and highly available cloud architectures on AWS.
• Automation: Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform CloudFormation and Ansible to automate the deployment and management of AWS resources.
• Security: Implement and manage security best practices including identity and access management (IAM) encryption and network security within the AWS environment.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor cloud infrastructure performance identify issues and optimize for cost and performance efficiency.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment of applications and services.
• Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup recovery and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and system availability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development operations and security teams to integrate AWS cloud solutions with existing infrastructure and applications.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure configurations and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloudrelated issues ensuring minimal downtime and prompt resolution of incidents.
• Stay Current: Keep up to date with the latest AWS services tools and best practices and recommend improvements to existing systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 35 years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2 S3 RDS Lambda VPC IAM CloudWatch and Route 53.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform CloudFormation and Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins GitLab CI or AWS CodePipeline.
• Solid understanding of networking security and cloud architecture best practices.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g. Python Bash PowerShell) for automation and system management.
• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are preferred.
• Excellent problemsolving skills attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with multicloud environments (AWS Azure GCP etc.).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
• Knowledge of database management and data storage solutions in the cloud.
