Data Center Operations Engineer

Job Description

1. Monitoring and support services on the scheduling tool and the backup solution.
2. Technical support of the automation tool (and its related plugins) requiring investigation assessment and resolution of support issues which may involve the design build and modification of batch schedules.
3. Technical support of the backup solution (and its related plugins) requiring investigation assessment and resolution of support issues which may involve the design build and modification of job configuration.
4. Maintenance of implementation standards and support documentation to ensure that adequate service levels can be maintained.
5. Work and interact with different IT Departments to gather Business requirements and needs to ensure EOD Flow and/or backup/restore operations are up to their satisfaction.
6. Monitoring analysis and support of backup/restore operations and report issues to concerned team. Ensure data backup is handled as per the Banks policies and regulatory requirements.
7. Daily monitoring analysis and support for EOD of all environments. Primarily reports issues statistics and analysis findings to the functional support teams of key IT systems within the IT department.
8. Monitoring business systems and bank transactions and make sure all systems are up and functioning at all time reporting issues to concerned team within IT department.

Skills

• Understanding of Windows Unix and Linux Servers operating systems
• Demonstrated knowledge of IT Operations processes and procedures
• Understanding of jobs/batches Automation/Scheduling tools. ControlM
• General awareness of IT Infrastructure technologies topologies and protocols including servers storage backup networks etc. and exposure to operations of backup software Networker.
• Familiarity with different monitoring tools SCOM or DynaTrace
• Highly motivated with the team leadership
• Excellent communication skills both written and spoken with the ability to interact with the team
• Fluent in English (both verbal and written)
• Good timemanagement skills.
• Must be selfdriven curious and creative.
• Should be confident energetic selfstarters with strong moderation and communication skills.
