CloserStill Media are looking for an extremely well organised methodical and selfmotivated individual to join our busy Operations team. The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of a portfolio of exhibitions within agreed budgets and deadlines. They will work as part of the operations team and alongside the sales and marketing teams to ensure the smooth and efficient running of events.

If you can remain calm under pressure have excellent negotiation skills and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role we would love to hear from you.

THE ROLE:

  • Ensuring the technical aspects of all events run smoothly
  • Management and implementation of internal and external Service Level Agreements
  • Budget management making savings where necessary being creative with solutions to budget issues and ensuring the shows do not go over budget
  • Negotiation with suppliers to ensure s without compromising on quality
  • Coordinate and manage temporary staff both onsite and pre show
  • Project planning and scheduling
  • Health and Safety management of shows whilst onsite
  • Writing Risk Assessments & Fire Risk Assessments for shows
  • Liaison with contractors suppliers and exhibitors Employ the highest standards of practice to deliver optimum results at all times

ABOUT YOU:

  • At least 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of industry venues and contractors
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Confident team player with a creative and innovative approach
  • Budget planning and management
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Effective and motivational leadership experience
  • Project management skills
  • Customer focused
  • IOSH Managing Safety Certificate (desirable)
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Reading and understanding of technical floorplans and stand drawings
  • Patient and calm under pressure
  • Flexible and adaptable
