Position Details:

  • Working Hours: 40 hours weekly from Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Provide learning experiences and educational opportunities for students with special needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Assess students abilities and craft teaching plans.
  • Adapt learning materials to students needs.
  • Keep track of and reflect on students progress adjusting the plans as needed.
  • Plan and implement interventions.
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure they are being followed.
  • Regularly update parents and the school administration on each students progress.
  • Work closely with school psychologists and behavior analysts to develop and execute intervention plans for managing students behavior.
  • Ensure all lessons and activities comply with federal state and local regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field.
  • State teaching licensure in Special Education.
