Network And Security Engineer

Job Objectives

• Responsible for configuring maintaining and supporting network and security architecture for both NECPH and PSBU projects
• Demonstrates extensive experience and proficiency in networking and security practices.
• Provides support to all teams or groups connecting to the network infrastructure.
• Able to adapt and implement network and security upgrades across cloud and onpremise server environments.
• Prepared to travel locally for onsite support as required by clients or projects.
• Can work long hours weekends and holidays based on project priorities and deadlines.
• Capable of making informed decisions and solving problems independently with minimal supervision.
• Takes ownership and accountability for their work and outcomes without constant oversight.
• Possesses the requisite skills and knowledge to effectively perform assigned tasks.
• Manages time efficiently to meet deadlines and achieve project objectives.
• Works independently while maintaining open communication channels for updates and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyse security and network issues across workstations servers and cloud environments
• Configure and maintain network and security setups.
• Assist clients in conducting technical and functional testing to ensure stability.
• Administer and manage network and security systems on both Windows and Linux platforms.
• Support clients with maintenance activities both onsite and remotely.
• Investigate and resolve networkrelated problems
• Investigate security breaches and implement solutions to resolve them.
• Coordinate and manage internal teams or subcontractors to ensure project completion.
• Provide ongoing support for operations including administration and monitoring tasks.
• Assist in installing patches for security
• Assist in upgrading versions of security applications as required.
• Assist with creating incident management tickets and provide necessary documentation.

Requirements/Specifications/Competencies

• Networking specialist that has accumulated at least 5 years of relevant work experience in the field.
• Having a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is considered a plus
• the resource possesses at least 2 years of practical experience specifically in the field of network security (Firewall SIEM etc.)
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows administration configuration and version patching are a plus but not required
• Has at least 2 years knowledge in configuring and maintaining CISCO and Juniper platforms.
• Has at least 1 year experience using MS word MS powerpoint and MS excel.
• Has at least 6 months experience in implementing and supporting network and security deployment.
• Has good communication and written skills.
