Azure Engineer

Job Summary:

The Azure Engineer will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining cloudbased solutions using Microsoft Azure. This role involves collaborating with development teams to ensure that cloud environments are secure scalable and optimized for performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Azure services a deep understanding of cloud computing principles and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design deploy and manage scalable secure and resilient cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
• Collaborate with development teams to gather requirements and ensure cloud environments meet application and business needs.
• Implement and manage Azure services including but not limited to Azure Virtual Machines Azure Storage Azure SQL Database Azure Active Directory and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Automate the deployment and management of infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates Terraform or Azure DevOps.
• Monitor the performance security and costefficiency of Azure resources and make recommendations for improvements.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications and services in Azure environments.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements managing Azure identity and access management (IAM) and network security configurations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services providing support to development and operations teams.
• Implement and manage disaster recovery backup and business continuity strategies for cloud environments.
• Stay updated with the latest Azure features and services and propose innovative solutions to enhance infrastructure.
• Document infrastructure designs deployment procedures and operational processes to ensure knowledge sharing and team collaboration.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on Azure best practices and cloud technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 35 years of handson experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and infrastructure management.
• Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Azure DevOps Engineer or similar are strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates Terraform or Azure DevOps.
• Strong experience with Windows and Linux systems administration and automation scripting (e.g. PowerShell Bash).
• Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines particularly Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Deep understanding of networking concepts including virtual networks subnets network security groups and Azure Firewall.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes and experience deploying containers on Azure.
• Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor Azure Log Analytics or Grafana.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams.
• Knowledge of best practices for cloud security data protection and compliance in an Azure environment.
