We have a current opportunity for a Ruya Batch 1 CPP Electrical Engineer on a contract basis. The position will be based in Doha. For further information about this position please apply.

WORK LOCATION: Korea / Qatar

Experience Required:

Qualification:

Engineering degree in Electrical engineering.

Experience:

minimum 10 years' experience in the Electrical field in offshore Oil and Gas industry.
Computer literate, especially in Electrical engineering software and AVEVA Electrical product.
Familiar with "Total general specifications" is a plus, and with relevant codes and standards.
Language: fluent English.
Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.

Responsibilities:
• Experience with Electrical control system & power management system and interfaces.
• Experience to handle Electrical part of Gas generator, Emergency generator.
• Should have experience of Electrical engineering for Living Quarters.
• Have knowledge of ETAP and developing cases for various studies including protection system.
• Work with weight control engineer and engineering team to ensure close weight monitoring and control of weight.
• Ensure close coordination with other disciplines on all engineering, constructability, and operational matters.
• Vendor documents reviews for Electrical equipment and also for other packages.
• Assist in manufacture site visits/FAT of major equipment.
• Support fabrication and construction engineering on review of engineering documents, modification approval, non-conformity reviews and assist in closure of punch lists.
• Promote fit for purpose design to reduce and to optimize planning and costs.
• Ensure as far as possible standardization of design proposals for wellhead platforms. Regular interactions with engineers working on other packages would be required.
• Assist in preparation and attend to project studies including 3D model review, HAZID, HAZOP, constructability review, Project Review.
• Assist in preparation of engineering progress reports detailing Electrical discipline progress across schedule, risks and technical issues to ensure accurate and timely information available to Package Management Team.
• Identify potential engineering scope change related to Electrical discipline, carry out initial technical assessment in order to provide accurate information to Electrical Lead.
