Job Description

This is an important role within the Transforming Data Collection Programme reporting to the TDC Programme Business Case and Benefits Realisation Lead.

This role will:

1. Work with the business areas to identify the potential measurable nonfinancial and financial benefits and new operating costs that will arise as a result of the implementation of the deliverables of the TDC Programme and its constituent projects / workstreams
2. Provide robust financial management of benefits and disbenefits in the TDC Programme Business Case
3. Support the Business Case & Benefits Realisation Lead in the development of the updated Business Case for the next stages of the TDC Programme
4. Support Benefits Realisation Management for the next stage of the TDC Programme and possibly other Programmes and Projects across the Data and Analytics Division including identification quantification baselining planning tracking and reporting of benefits and operating costs (including the maximisation of benefits realisation) which are critical to successful programme and project delivery.


Detailed requirements Minimum Experience You know:

1. How to work with business and industry stakeholders particularly how to sell the importance of Business Cases Benefits Management Value Management and Financial Management including communicating on the insights and actions that your work delivers.
2. How to facilitate workshops and other meetings to baseline current costs forecast future benefits disbenefits and costs and review if those costs and benefits are realised.
3. How to identify Business Management Information (MI) and Data that can be used to baseline and track actual nonfinancial and financial benefits realisation
4. How to identify and work with ‘Benefits’ and ‘Operating Cost Owners’ so that they are accountable for the costs and benefits numbers they own.
5. How to create and maintain key Benefits Management artefacts such as: Benefits Maps Benefits Calculation Models Benefits & Operating Cost Profiles Benefits Tracking Models and Benefits Realisation Plans
6. How to develop financial business models
7. How to undertake sensitivity analysis and scenario modelling
8. How to track actual benefits realisation performance against those models and benefit forecasts.

You are:
1. Organised and proactive.
2. You will be expected to deliver against your plans and keep aligned with the TDC Programme Business Case & Benefits Realisation Lead providing progress updates and informing of any risks or delays.
3. Commercial logical and analytical. You will need to collect analyse and organise large volumes of complex unstructured information and data and turn it into clear concise outputs. You will need to build and develop at times complex models.
4. Inclusive and empowering. You will need to listen to others be prepared to learn and use the experience and skills of those you work with.

1. Undertaking data analysis be it benefits value business or financial analysis.
2. Investigating and analysing business processes organizational design structures and operating models
3. Selling the benefits of Benefits and Value Management to others

Role Requirements Desirable Skills You may know:

1. Working knowledge of performance measurement within the public and private sectors
2. A lot about accounting potentially since you hold an accounting qualification or have relevant accounting experience.
3. A lot about Value Based Management

Experience qualifications and other requirements specific to the role

Minimum Requirements
1. Minimum 5 years Benefits Business and Financial Analysis experience gained in both the Public and Private Sectors
2. Excellent financial and nonfinancial analysis skills
3. Excellent business analysis skills
4. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
5. Strong facilitation skills in order to support the business in defining the nonfinancial and financial assumptions and parameters / constraints of different programme / project proposals.
6. Proven experience of working with and managing business stakeholders
7. Strong ‘cause and effect’ analysis skills and experience
8. Proven experience of Business Case Benefits & Financial Management capability in a large organization
9. An Accounting qualification or experience which can display a sufficient knowledge of financial modeling financial analysis and valuebased management expertise.

Desirable Criteria
1. Understanding of Business Financial planning and financial sanctioning procedures
2. Proven experience of working within a change environment and change management techniques including the ability to make new contacts within the Bank
3. Proven experience of working in a finance environment and a good working knowledge of financial accounting techniques
